Come and celebrate the end of exams with The Cambridge University Consulting Society. We will be having drinks at Browns from 7-9pm on Wednesday the 15th of June. Entrance is free and it will be a great opportunity for you to learn more about the society and network with fellow aspiring consultants.  This is particularly recommended for those eager to join the committee.

Content: Deloitte will be providing an overview of their technology consulting practice by exploring of their current engagements with you. Recent graduates will explain how they have helped to shape the delivery of technology projects that are core to their client strategy and success.

7:00pm: Strategy Consulting (IBM)

Simon from IBM will be presenting an introduction to Strategy Consulting. In his presentation Simon will bring to life what life is like doing strategy consulting taking you on the journey starting with the need for strategy consulting, how you win the business, what has worked, what has gone wrong, and what life is like as a strategy consultant, what tools you need, and what makes people successful in that space. It will end with some insight into emerging trends in strategy consulting and in particular the value of Analytics and data.

Speaker Profile: Simon Asplen-Taylor is a Associate Partner in IBM’s Business Analytics and Optimisation practise. He has spent 20 years working for leading Investment Banks Citi, UBS and Merrill Lynch and now works for IBM leading their Analytics consulting in Financial Markets
He has a MBA from Durham University.
